Abstract
The logistical sector is growing at an unprecedented rate, especially in e-commerce, which has brought attention to the limitations of the manual measurement techniques used in previously for carton boxes. The problem of time-consuming and inaccurate measurements preventing efficient inventory management and demand fulfilment is addressed by this project. The objective of this project is to develop an automated system for measuring and keeping track of carton boxes that will improve measurement accuracy and incorporate cloud-based data storage for instant access. The process involves settling on the right sensors, developing a simple to use user interface and developing software for managing and storing measurement data. The system makes use of modern technologies like infrared sensors and load cells to ensure precise measurements of the weight and dimensions of the box.
