Abstract
This project focuses on developing an automated plant watering system that simplifies plant care. The system uses a soil moisture sensor to check the soil’s condition every 30 seconds. When the soil moisture is below the predefined threshold, a water pump is automatically activated to irrigate the plant. After each watering cycle, the system enters a three-hour cooldown period to prevent overwatering, even if the soil remains dry during this time. The moisture readings are sent in real-time to the owner’s smartphone via a mobile application, allowing for remote monitoring. Additionally, users can manually control the water pump through the app when needed. By combining basic components such as an ESP32 microcontroller, soil moisture sensor, water pump, andWi-Fi module, this project demonstrates how IoT technology and electronics can be integrated to automate routine plant care efficiently and reliably.
