Abstract
This work describes the design and implementation of battery charging and monitoring system with Raspberry Pi as the main controller. The System is intended to make LiPo charging safer, more efficient, and more user friendly. It includes a PZEM-017 for measuring voltage and current in real-time, a solid-state relay for charging management, and a temperature sensor for safety protection. The System also enables the data logging and auto-analysis of charging performances. Furthermore, a Telegram notification is added to inform about the status of the charging and if there are any faults as overheating or abnormal operation. Results show that the proposed system can accurately supervise the charging parameters and stop automatically the charging process once the predefined conditions are fulfilled. In general the system developed here offers a robust, easy to use and scalable solution for the application of battery charging
