Abstract

This research is to investigate the energy loss of flow over various kinds of non-smooth surfaces by using open channel flow apparatus. The main objective of the research is to determine the effects of manipulated variables on the energy loss of flow. The different non-smooth surfaces and the different discharge rates are the variables that will be manipulated during the research. In order to display the effects of manipulated variables more clearly, we will plot the results on the graph to analyze the results. We will then observe whether the energy loss of flow increase or decrease when the variables we manipulated. From there, we then come up with conclusion. iii
