Abstract

The main objective of this project is to design and fabricate an automated marker pen refill machine. The automated marker pen refill machine can let the user to refill marker pen automatically. The user just put the marker pen inside the metal tube and let the machine to auto refill the ink into the marker pen. The machine is able to open the marker pen's cap and refill ink before close back the marker pen's cap automatically. Generally, this dissertation can be divided into four parts which are information research, components selection of the prototype, fabrication of the prototype and also the testing and results of the machine. The first chapter is about the whole prototype introduction and also the objective of this project. The main components of this machine will be introduced in Chapter 2. On top of that, this chapter also helps in combine all the useful information of the components and is more easily to be compared and chosen to be used in the fabrication part. In Chapter 3, the components that have been selected after comparing the function and the price of the components will be shown and more details will be discussed. The fabrication step of the prototype will be shown in Chapter 4. Besides that, some of the initial design that had been changes and wiring part of the prototype also will be written in that chapter. Lastly, the testing and result of the prototype will be recorded in Chapter 5. All the testing process and the result of the prototype are stated clearly in the dissertation. Discussion and conclusion also have been stated in the last chapter of this dissertation.
