The objective of this dissertation is to fabricate a mould and injected out with the plastic part design. The target of result is to produce a plastic part name card holder. This dissertation can be divided into four parts which is mainly focus about the research information, design stage of mould and product, fabrication and machining processes and result of plastic injection moulding. The first two chapters are related to the planning of project and the research of literature review. These two chapters have their main function to guide this project runs in the smoothly way towards successful. Throughout the well planning of project, studies and understands, will enhance the percentage of successful in this project. The critical part of mould and part design stage, and the fabrication and machining processes will be stated in the middle of this dissertation. During the designing stage, careful consideration must be fully used to prevent failure of machining processes. In this stage, the beginning of design until the processes of improvement will show out in the content. It wills also clearly state out the software used, material selection, machine used and assembly process. All of the clearer processes flow and works are stated inside the fabrication and machining processes which are in the Chapter 3 Research Methodology. The last part of the dissertation is to show the result of testing the project mould. The process of testing mould and how to function with the machine will show in this part. Then, it will be continued with the result of the final plastic injection product, how the product looks like does and how to produce it step by step until successful. At last, the discussion of problems facing, clear conclusion of this project and some useful appendices with details of works will also been showed up in this dissertation.
