Abstract

Basically, these projects are concerned primary with the design and fabricate automated clothes retrieval and folding machine. The objectives of this project is to fabricate a clothes retrieval and folding machine which is mainly emphasized on designing an automated mechanism to replace the human in doing daily housework which is retrieval and folding clothes. Firstly, the research has been done in advance in order to get a concept of fabricating automated clothes retrieval and folding machine. Besides that, the research on the raw material and components for the retrieval and folding machine was also being carried out to get familiar in the raw materials and components available. After a few research and studies on this area, our project has been given a title as automated clothes retrieval and folding machine which is designed to replace the existing conventional of retrieval and folding method. A few types of design had been drawn by using Solid Works and being compared for the best design of the retrieval and folding clothes machine. During the selections of materials, several reasons need to be considered such as cost, availability and the mechanical properties of the materials. In our final year project, we try to focus on the potential issue of replacing manual retrieval and folding method with automated. Therefore, to improve the flaws of manual retrieval and folding clothes, we have made our conceptual design into a prototype. However, there is still a long way to go into producing a truly effectively outcome. Hence, we are inspired to labor more time and effort into research and studies in order to develop a breakthrough and improve the prototype further.
