Abstract

Our project is to replicate the design of a home pneumatic vacuum elevator. We have shared the workload equally to accomplish the objectives of this project. The main objective of this project is to come out with a simple design of home pneumatic vacuum elevator for residential use. Incorporating a pneumatic vacuum elevator or other similar systems at home tends to be a near future trend in our society. In order to replicate this design, some researches and studies have been carried out from the internet, and reference books from the college library. There are some important factors which have to be considered in our project including the proper sizing of components and the safety features of the system. We have applied some technical knowledge that we learnt previously in the replication process. We will come out with an animation to show the simple operation of the mechanism by using Solidworks software.
