Abstract

This research is to define the reasons of an organization seeking ISO 9001 :2008 and the relationship between the critical success factors and the perceived benefits in implementing ISO 9001:2008. Organization may encounter problems during implementing ISO 9001:2008. Besides that, most of the organizations in Malaysia do not realize the real reasons of implementing ISO 9001 :2008 and the benefits they gain from the certification of ISO 9001:2008. In order to examine the relationship between the critical success factors and the perceived benefits, literature review was needed to define the dependent variables and independent variables. Then questionnaire survey was done in Eastern Soldar Engineering and Construction Sdn Bhd and the results of the questionnaire was analyze. The finding revealed that the elements of the critical success factors have a positive relationship with the perceived benefits of ISO 9001:2008. An ISO 9001 :2008 success factor model was built based on the research findings. The researcher concluded this research based on the discussion and also the limitation and recommendation.
