Abstract

Nowadays, Facial Recognition System is very common and it is a type of computer application that can recognize a specific individual (human face) in a digital image by analysing and comparing the facial. Everyone will have their unique characteristic so that they can be make up as a set of facial features. During a lecture class, every lecturer would face a problem with taking attendance. For a large group of students in a lecture hall, lecturer would either spend about 5 to 10 minutes to take their attendance or pass the attendance list to students and take it themselves else just ignore about the attendance. By using Facial Recognition System to build a system for make the lecturer’s life easier. By using the system, we can just take the photos of students and the attendance would be taken. The result of the facial recognition is more than 70% (for people not wearing glasses).
