Abstract
The project is about designing and fabrication of electric aluminium can crusher. The main reason to make an electric aluminium can crusher is to reduce the volume of aluminium cans to become smaller and could be installed anywhere. The crusher will provide user an extra space by flattening either single or multiple cans. Nowadays, aluminium can is widely usage in hotels, canteen and restaurants but large storage area is needed. For example, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College will produce not less than 500 used beverage aluminium cans every weekday. Therefore, aluminium can crusher is needed in order to reduce the volume of the cans. At the same time, the transportation volume will increases and reduce the transportation cost. This project focus on review of work carried out by researchers on structural analysis and design of components through internet, library, and journals. Even though, many researchers have done work on design and analysis, but still there are so many areas of scope regarding this design and analysis. The processes include in this project are design, fabrication, assembly and testing. As we know, there are many different types of can crushers in the market, but the performance for new model of can crusher will more effectively and efficiently than previous one.
