Abstract

The title of this project is called design and fabrication of bladeless-light fan. The purpose of this project is to overcome the entire ceiling fan and incandescent light bulb's problems. The current ceiling fans caused lots of problems such as the blades are dangerous, the size is bulky and the air is inconstant and weak. With those causes, all users will feel uncomfortable air from the ceiling fan. Not only that, the incandescent light bulb has very high energy consumption and not bright enough. By using centrifugal motor with advance designs and new concept of air blow systems and replacing incandescent light with LED light bulb so that it is capable to function effectively and efficiently in order to solve all the problems. Once the research is completed, the design of the bladeless-light was being carried out. A few types of design had been drawn by Solid Works software and AutoCAD software. After go through research and calculation, the best design of the prototype has been chosen. During the selection of materials, few problems need to be considered such as cost, availability and the mechanical properties of the material. This phase is also involves a lot of alternative evaluations and decision making. As a conclusion of this report, this bladeless-light ceiling fan could be very useful and convenience for all household users. The most important point of this project is to bring out the new concept and design of this bladeless-light ceiling fan. Although this prototype is not as expected, there is high possibility to improve this bladeless-light fan for a better quality.
