Abstract

In this dissertation and project, a multi-cavity injection mould has been made by referring the study of plastic injection moulding, designing and fabrication of injection mould. In chapter of literature review is separated into two parts. The part one is saying about the injection moulding technology, the elements in an injection moulding machine, components and the system used in an injection mould, and its design rules. The part two is NC code definition and CNC machine control to fabricate an injection mould. There are few methodologies that have been planned to fabricate an injection mould, such as the design of the injection mould. In the chapter four, all the activities that included in the designing injection mould and its fabrication process are presented in detail with analysis and discussion. In the end, there is a result for all the activities. The limitations of this project are listed out as the reference for such kind of the project student. The recommendations are given also to improve this project. Although the testing of moulded part is unknown, this project has been considered that it is a complete project since the objectives are achieved.
