Abstract

Now days the need for the electricity is keep on rising. In a normal household, there is 50% of electrical energy used for lighting. This situation will cause burden to the people where they need to spend a lot of money to pay the electricity bills. In this project of solar tube, there is a solution to reduce the usage of the electricity. It is natural light will pass through the dome. The absorbed sunlight later will be directed by a highly reflective piping system into the indoor diffuser lens which is situated on the ceiling of the room. This solar tube can be fixed no matter where, for example houses, school, office or even in the ware houses. Many people looking forward for the solar tube where it not only can provide natural sunlight and it had been proven that it is actually reducing the usage of electricity. In addition, there is a solar panel based circuit connected to the solar tube. It is to collects the sunlight to charge the rechargeable battery where the energy can be used back to power up the light. For the both mechanical and electrical design, researches been carried out to prevent sunlight losses in the tube.
