Abstract

The main objective of this project is to design and fabricate an electric powered roller. The electric powered roller can be used as transportation to substitute human walking in order to save energy and time for travelling. The electronic components and remote controller are installed into the electric powered roller. Therefore, the electric powered roller can be controlled easily by user. In this entire project, it shows from the initial design to the final stage which is fabricating an electric powered roller. Generally, this dissertation can be divided into four parts which are information research, components and materials selection, fabrication of the prototype, test and modification of the prototype. The project is started by gathering all the useful information on roller designing and fabrication. Then, the design and the dimension of the roller are done by the author's project partner. Besides that, the electronic circuit of the roller and remote controller are done by author. After that, the components and materials have been selected after comparing the price and the function. The detail of the components will be discussed. Next, the fabrication step was carried on. Some of the initial design and electronic circuit had been changed due to some problem. Lastly, the electric powered roller will be tested and discovered the problem. After that, the modification step was carried on in order to solve the problem.
