Abstract

The purpose of doing the research is to investigate the relationship of the drag force and speed of the ship model in freezing water. Drag force is used to examine the drag or resistance of an object in a fluid environment (e.g. water). Secondly, this research is aimed to determine the strength of the model ship in freezing water. And lastly, is to determine the buoyancy of the model ship in freezing water. Summary: This study is conducted to examine the Freezing Water Transportation. It is important for an organisation to solve a problem when ships travel in ice land. This may help the organisation to increase their effectiveness, efficiency as well as company's profit by reducing the problems occur. This is aiming to focus on how the water level, water temperature or water state that affect the movement of the ship. In addition, the relationship between the variables of water condition, environmental factor and ship movement speed will be defined and the improvement that should be taken to overcome the problem from the result of the study will be concluded. According to the provided empirical data, the results were recorded as the relationship between the water level and ship moving speed, the water temperature and ship moving speed, comparison between fresh water and sea water or materials properties.
