Abstract

Social media has become one of the most common activities for children and teens today. The social media provide a platform for entertainment and communication for today's youth and have grown exponentially. For this reason, parents must be aware of the nature of social media because not all the social media sites are a healthy environment for youth. This paper aims to examine the influence of social media on children behaviours by using quantitative method which is questionnaire to collect 100 sets of data from parents. The research has presented a discussion on the topic of perceived influence of social media in children behaviour. The main objective of the study is to understand did the social media affect the children behaviour. The paper concludes that most of the parents allowed children to engage in social media and have their own social media platform. However, the influence of social media is significance high in changing the children’s behaviour.
