Abstract

Most of the commercial customer are facing a problem which to pay the extra charges for their monthly electrical bills knows as electricity demand charges due to the high surge power. The purpose of this research is to minimize the Electrical Maximum Demand (EMD) charges due to the high surge power had detected by utility company. The problems that occurred not only for the hardware equipment implementation resulting the overload demand, the load management system of the industrial also play an important role to counter the problems. Therefore, the load management methods that implement to counter the problem which is load scheduling and load balancing for different machinery performance to reduce the high spike current drawback from the electric supply. In this project, the main focus is implemented Load management system to control electrical power supply between the loads that do not affect the main production line process or priority main product such as lighting, office fan, compressor and other operations depend on the industry operator. The operator can prevent connecting the heavy load at the same time to reduce the instantaneous power occur. The load management control and monitoring system implement with load scheduling with time delaying methods to reduce the electrical maximum demand occurred and reduce the electricity bill in each month. The load management control and monitoring system to control and monitoring the data input and output flow to trigger On and Off of circuit breaker as a switching to operate the machine and monitoring the power usage of each machine to indicate and analyze which machine caused the maximum demand happened. The system also implements load scheduling with time delaying methods to schedule working task of loads with time delay to control non-critical load and critical load for further process used. Therefore, this system can help to reduce the electrical maximum demand happened, optimization of the performance of the machine and reduce the electricity bill.
