Abstract

In our modern world with increasingly cheap, high calorie food, prepared foods that is high in salt, sugars or fat, combined with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles, increasing urbanization and changing modes of transportation, it is no doubt that the health issues in the world has been rapidly increased over the last few decades. Jog+ is developed to address the obesity issue as well as encourage people to exercise more. The waterfall software development model is suitable to be used in developing the Jog+ as the requirements are certain and very well understood. The Jog+ app is developed in Android platform and is coded with Java. It aims to encourage the community to do more exercises by providing monetary and non-monetary benefits to them in order to reduce the serious health issue. The rewards such as Cash Vouchers, Cash and Gift cards will be awarded to the users based to their achievement. Hence, Jog+ app is able to reduce obesity rate and foster a healthy lifestyle among the society.
