Abstract

Abstract Employee burnout is becoming one of the major problems in working industries. However, many people are still denying that it’s a serious problem, ignoring the problem or don’t even know this problem exist. The purpose of this project is to educate more people about employee burnout so that they can know about the problem and prevent it if one is facing it. To do so, a game about employee burnout is made and this game will be mainly trying to tell the player what employee burnout is and how it might occur. Some of the mechanics of the game are decided through survey and analysis. The game consists of 6 different mini games and these games will affect the stats of the character, which is “worth” and “stress” and the player needs to gain his worth in the company without stressing out and reaching burnout from overworking. The details for each mini game are written in the document and their design. Throughout the game, the player will learn to balance between work and rest, and by doing so this will be a process for the player to learn about employee burnout. If more people know about employee burnout, we will be able to help reduce the occurrence of such phenomenon.
