Abstract

“The Gift of Life is also an extension of our commitment to living the ‘Caring is Sharing’ principle in our community(theStar 2010). According the statistics of blood donation in Malaysia on 2017, there is only 2.2 percent of entire Malaysia population donate blood.(Bernama 2015). The Ministry of Health Malaysia believed that Malaysian still not willing to donate blood for rescue a million of life. The reasons of less donors are afraid to donate blood for fear that it would affect their health. Nowadays, with the high technology that allow to create an online system to manage the jobs scope easily called Online Blood bank system. The purpose of this project is help hospital management to improve their performance in emergency situation that able to request and other hospital will send supplies blood where there is an urgent need of blood. The OBBS project have five module of the system which consists user management module, donor appointment module, event management module, blood management module and Hospital blood request module. In order to develop a systematic OBBS, using waterfall methodology to which is suitable to develop the system as consider to human power and time constraint, yet the requirement is not well defined. In closing, there is a need to improve the OBBS performance before publish up for internal use.
