Abstract

Under the dual pressure of energy and environment, the world had begun to vigorously develop the electric vehicle industry. Therefore, more and more mobile navigation applications for electric vehicles were designed to assist electric vehicle users to drive electric vehicles more proficiently in order to improve user experience. The aim of this study is to research the factors that intervention of applications can improve the user experience when using an electric vehicle. To study visual design and usability in mobile navigation applications to design effective functions, interfaces and interactive mobile navigation applications for electric vehicle users. Most importantly, to investigate whether the advent of electric vehicles can become the future trend of Malaysia transportation. Finally, the research results show mobile navigation applications can help Malaysians improve the acceptance of electric vehicles and user experience. A data questionnaire will be collected from about 50 or more adults and middle-aged people between 18 and 55 years old. The data analysis in this survey is statistical analysis, such as pie charts and bar charts, to find out users' understanding, views and feelings about electric vehicles and their mobile navigation applications. The result of the survey is respondents more focus on the usability and visual design of the application. In short, to build applications that are realistic and needed by the target audience, developers should integrate the application features and visual design recommended in this report.
