Abstract

The term “Prospective investors” refers to Malaysians with financial capabilities to invest in houses within the price range of RM150,000 to RM500,000. It is a challenge for Malaysians to find an affordable property which accommodates their needs. Generally, most Malaysians are less eager to invest in properties exceeding RM500,000. Next, the perception and preferences of prospective investors’ towards affordable housing in Selangor changes rapidly. It is important to understand the target market before proceeding with future development. Also, most prospective investors’ are unaware of the existence and relevance of current housing policies. Therefore, this research aims to promote overall awareness on expectations of prospective investors’ towards properties within Selangor, through exploring the issues mentioned above.
