Abstract

LamLam Inventory Management System is designated to help the staff and admin process the loan and return inventories more conveniently. This project also designs to let the staff be able to loan, return, view and search the inventories from the list and identify the items’ availability and this makes them can keep the storage more effectively. The existing problem is the current workers are performing the record manually by key in the items one by one into the computer or the spreadsheets to make a daily basis record so that they are hard to track the real-time inventories’ location. This project used the Agile model methodology. The reason we chose this is that during the development phase if we want to add in features, we can do so by following the sprint steps which allows us to add or update any feature that is necessary easily. It develops a mobile application for Android users and a web application. The mobile application is developed with Android Studio which comes with an emulator to test our application. We also have a physical Android device to test the camera capabilities since Android Studio's emulator is just a camera simulation and does not have any camera hardware capabilities. The web application is developed with the PhpStorm and using PHP, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript language. Next, we used a local server/environment to test and view our PHP code. As a result, we use XAMPP as our local server, which allows us to run and test PHP files that our web application requires. In conclusion, we have successfully achieved all of our stated goals. We've also added some extra features that we believe will improve the user experience and provide useful information. In the end, our completed project surpassed our expectations.
