Abstract

With the advancement of the internet and technology, organizations have been shifting from traditional procurement approaches to the procurement system. Nowadays, the procurement system gains its popularity through people's trends of using the internet. Procurement system is designed to streamline the regular procurement process. Instead of manually doing things, the entire process is automated. The procurement system aims to save costs, shorten the procurement cycle, and improve the visibility and control of expenditures. The scope of this project will be creating and approve purchase requisition (PR), material requisition (MR), quotations as well as purchase order (PO), supplier approval, generate different type of reports, some administration settings such as manage company details and general settings, inventory management, set user authorization, data import & export and so on. The methodology used in this project will be the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which starts from requirement gathering, system design, deployment and ends with testing. Tools that will be utilized in this project are XAMPP Server, Apache NetBeans IDE, Visual Paradigm Online, Microsoft Word, Signavio Workflow and so on. Before launching the system, several tests have been performed, including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure that the system meets all functional and non-functional requirements.
