Abstract

Machine vision is widely used in inspection and measurement. This thesis is study about how does the resolution, illuminance, and dimension of the workpiece will affect the result obtain from the machine vision. An USB digital microscope is used as a camera to capture image for the inspection objects. LabVIEW is used to process the image data and computed to obtain edge result. The result is calculated and compared with actual result and known as error percentage. By analyzing the result, it found that result of machine vision is affected by resolution, illuminance and the dimension of the workpiece in the image captured by the camera.
