Abstract

This research delves into the intricate dynamics between transformational leadership, internal control system effectiveness, and corporate reputation within Malaysian organisations, with a particular focus on the mediating influence of ethical conduct. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional method involving 240 employees, the study elucidates the substantial predictive roles of transformational leadership and internal control system effectiveness on corporate reputation. Furthermore, it uncovers the pivotal role played by ethical conduct as a mediator, shaping organisational reputation. By bridging theoretical insights with empirical evidence, this research not only enriches the scholarly discourse surrounding corporate reputation but also furnishes pragmatic insights for Malaysian businesses aiming to fortify their reputational standing. In a landscape marked by swift information dissemination and escalating demands for transparency and ethics, these findings offer strategic pathways for organisations to cultivate sustainable competitive advantages through effective leadership and robust control mechanisms
