Abstract
Corporate sustainability has become increasingly prominent due to growing stakeholder prioritisation. In light of ongoing scandals and corruption in Malaysia, the importance of corporate sustainability has heightened, prompting this study to investigate the factors influencing corporate sustainability performance in the country. This study delves into the factors impacting corporate sustainability in Malaysia, including transparency, ethical decision-making, gender equality, and ethical organisational culture. Additionally, it explores the mediating role of ethical organisational culture among the independent variables (transparency, ethical decision-making, and gender equality) and the dependent variable (corporate sustainability). To achieve its objectives, the study employs a quantitative research approach with a cross-sectional design and online survey methodology. Data were collected from 250 full-time employees currently working in the Klang Valley region and analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences Version 26.0 (SPSS). The findings indicate that transparency, gender equality, and ethical organisational culture significantly influence corporate sustainability in Malaysia. Moreover, ethical organisational culture plays a significant role in mediating the relationships between transparency, ethical decision-making, gender equality, and corporate sustainability. This study contributes to the literature by underscoring the importance of transparency in fostering ethical organisational culture and corporate sustainability, as well as emphasising the pivotal role of ethical organisational culture in corporate sustainability. From a practical perspective, this research emphasises the importance for organisations to cultivate transparency, gender equality, and ethical organisational culture to enhance corporate sustainability performance. Additionally, the study identifies limitations and provides recommendations for future research endeavours
