Abstract

Line following robot (LFR) can be applied in many fields of life such as in the professional industry field or in everyday life for the average human. For the professional industry field, it can be used in construction works, moving small to medium sized objects, such as toolboxes, cement bags, refreshments and others with ease to save manpower of the workers. It can also be used in the logistics industries, moving parcels and other objects from one place to another without the need for humans to handle it, as recently the logistics industry requires more demand causing materials sorting to be much more complex because of the mass production of products. Overall, it significantly boosts the efficiency of these types of works allowing for the requirement of less manpower but still getting better outcomes as a whole. For the average human, the line following robot can be used as vacuum robot, cleaning the floors of people’s houses. It allows people to have to worry less about cleaning the house as it takes quite some time and effort and some people do not have the luxury to spend their time for cleaning frequently.
