Abstract
This project addresses the specific problem of improving cursor control by developing a gesture based air mouse that removes surface dependency and reduces physical strain. To achieve this, an Arduino Pro Micro reads six‐axis motion data from an MPU6050 accelerometer/gyroscope, integrates joystick and button inputs, and transmits processed gesture and click data wirelessly via an nRF24L01 link. Testing demonstrated smooth real-time cursor movement with reliable gesture recognition and low wireless latency suitable for casual desktop use. These results imply that the proposed system offers a viable, untethered pointing device that enhances user comfort and could be extended to applications like 3D modeling and accessibility tools.
