Abstract

Electronic devices have become an essential component of modern life, transforming how we communicate, work, and connect with our surroundings. Their rapid progress has been fueled by advancements in semiconductor technology, downsizing, and networking, resulting in increased efficiency, usefulness, and portability. The study aims to examine the electronic devices usage among preschool children and to determine the influence of electronic devices usage on children's behaviors. By using a descriptive-quantitative approach, the study was carried out from March 27 to April 18 with 40 parents of children aged 4-6 from various preschools in Setapak; which all were collected through an adapted questionnaire from Merdin (2017) and Shafizan, Wan Norshira & Nur Shakira (2023). The questionnaire was distributed through Google Forms and included questions on electronic device usage and preschool children's behaviours. The results showed that parents claimed their children were active users of electronic devices, and the devices had influenced their behaviours. Keywords: electronic devices, personality, negative behavior
