Abstract

This research examines the factors influencing employee commitment in the private sector in Malaysia, with a particular emphasis on transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and perceived organisational support. Drawing on psychological contract theory, self-determination theory, and job-demands resources theory, the study explores how these elements contribute to fostering higher levels of employee engagement and organisational commitment. The research further investigates the role of corporate reputation in shaping employee attitudes and behaviors, particularly in relation to their sense of empowerment and organisational support. Through empirical analysis, the study highlights the significance of transformational leadership in enhancing employee commitment and organisational performance within Malaysia’s private sector. The findings provide practical insights for business leaders and policymakers aiming to strengthen employee commitment and improve organisational outcomes in this specific context.
