Abstract

This study evaluates how three flow-field geometries—straight, parallel, and serpentine—combined with co-, counter-, and cross-flow configurations influence the thermal and electrical performance of a 7 cm × 7 cm single-cell PEMFC modeled and simulated in ANSYS Fluent. The model uses literature-based properties for Nafion, Pt/C, carbon paper GDL, and graphite plates, with operating conditions fixed at 80 °C (353.15 K) and specified inlet mass flow rates (H₂ anode: 3e-7
