Abstract
Traditional door lock systems are mechanical devices that rely on physical keys to grant access. Although simple and cost-effective, they are susceptible to security issues such as key loss, unauthorized duplication, lock-picking, and forced entry, rendering them less reliable for modern security requirements. To address these limitations, this project proposes a smart door lock system based on the ESP32 Dev Kit V1 with Internet of Things (IoT) integration. The system incorporates dual authentication using Bluetooth connectivity and RFID technology to enhance access control security. It is implemented using hardware components including an ESP32 microcontroller, RFID module, servo motor, LED indicators, and a buzzer, with software developed using the Arduino IDE. Upon successful authentication, the door is automatically unlocked, and after a predefined time interval, it is securely relocked to ensure safety. Experimental testing demonstrates that the system operates reliably with a high authentication success rate, providing consistent and responsive performance. Additionally, IoT integration enables real-time monitoring and remote notifications, further enhancing system functionality. Overall, the proposed system improves security, convenience, and scalability, making it suitable for modern smart home applications
