Abstract

The new era is developing rapidly, digital commerce has revolutionized the traditional auction methods, digital commerce and traditional auction combine together, buyer and seller can achieve their objectives efficiently and effectively. However, most of the online auction industry in Malaysia is focused on property and machinery like e-Lelong, LelongTips, BidNow, mudah.my etc. There is a lack of online auctions for antiques. This project is focused on being the first online antique auction platform in Malaysia. It provides a secure and user friendly environment to every antique collector. This platform allows buyers to follow the timetable and join the live auction to bid online. Platform can list out antiques with detailed descriptions, images, and the start bid prices. The buyer can register, browse available auctions, and place bids during the live processing. Auction platform involves a large amount of personal information and money transactions, and the platform will have tight security systems in place to maintain the safety of users. This system implements multi-factor authentication(MFA) to protect and identify users, and it also has data encryption to secure the sensitive data. Additionally, the timetable feature lets buyers plan their participation in upcoming live auctions. Combining the traditional auction and the modern e-commerce, this platform introduces a new digital auction in Malaysia. With its focus on security, accessibility, ease of use to make it suitable for any age antique collector, this project aims to establish a trusted marketplace for antique collectors.
