Abstract

In an era of requires convenient and secure home security system, conventional door lock often has shortcomings like providing real-time monitoring and remote access. The project S.M.A.R.T (Secure Monitoring and Alert for Real-time doors) aims to enhance residential safety by integrating biometric authentication, IoT based monitoring and mobile connectivity. The system includes a fingerprint-based biometric door lock, ensuring only authorized personnel access. It also includes Anti Thief System that will send alert notifications through the mobile app to the user. To further strengthen the situational awareness, a real-time camera is installed in front of the door lock to allow the user to monitor the situation of the front door when the user is far from home. When the door is unlock or lock it will show the status of the door through mobile notifications. The integration of software and hardware has greatly enhance the convenience and control of the home security. By combining S.M.A.R.T project with modern technology, this project supports the Sustainable Development Goal of Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG9) and encourages the innovation in home safety solutions
