Abstract
In educational and professional environments, prolonged sitting has become a common daily activity, leading to discomfort, musculoskeletal problems, and increased health risks. Conventional arm chair tables are usually fixed and lack flexibility, forcing users to sit in uncomfortable positions which reduce concentration and productivity. In addition, manual folding tables may be damaged due to improper handling, while long sitting duration can cause fatigue and other health issues. To solve these problems, this project aims to design and develop an adjustable table arm chair that improves comfort and promotes healthier sitting habits. The system includes an automatic folding table mechanism using servo motors and sensors to prevent damage from manual operation. It also provides adjustable table and backrest functions using push buttons, allowing users to set their preferred positions. In addition, an RFID module is used to store and recall user preset settings for better convenience. Furthermore, a sitting-time monitoring system is implemented to remind users to take breaks after prolonged sitting by using a buzzer and LCD display. Overall, this project provides a practical and user-friendly solution that enhances comfort, reduces health risks, and improves the study and working experience.
