Abstract

"Wind Tunnel Experiment on Aerofoil Body and C++ Programming on Calculating the Related Forces (Experimentation and Programming)" By See Fuh Shern This dissertation is a study on aerodynamic research in the effect of airflow on an aerofoil body which enables the lifting of an aircraft. Besides, a C++ Programming user tool is designed at the end of the research to contributes to the society because it allows the user, mostly students to find the lift and drag forces and its coefficient easily by just key in the both geometry and dynamic values. This dissertation is separated to six chapters, starting with the introduction. Here, it will introduce to the project, experiment and problem. Next is the literature review, a research on existed work by other people through study on the journals. There are total four journals being studied to review on the previous aerodynamic researches done by researchers. Coming up next is the theory which will explain all the related information on aerodynamics that used in this project. Follow up by the methodology, which explains the methods used in this project. In the fifth chapter, is the analysis of the results. Analysis is performed on the graphs plotted by studying the pattern of the graph and compare with theoretical results. Lastly, is the conclusion which conclude on the project and results. Limitations of the project and result and further development of the project will be discussed here as well.
