Abstract

Automated monitoring system and control system for machine or a system had increase of demands from the industries to reduce the human work nowadays. This dissertation is about the software development of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to supervise the standalone stations of Flexibility Manufacturing System (FMS- 200) so that the human work can reduce which use the SCADA system to monitor and control the system. A graphical user interface is design for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system that is a user friendly interface to monitor or control the standalone stations of the Flexibility Manufacturing System (FMS-200) which also consists of alarm and output data log function. Connection between the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and the Master PLC was established. It is able to communicate between the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and Master PLC to exchange the information of the Flexibility Manufacturing System (FMS-200). As a conclusion, the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is work well with the Master PLC to exchange the information and able to control all the standalone stations of the Flexibility Manufacturing System (FMS-200). And my programming skills has largely improved after involved in this project.
