Abstract

Garlic nowadays has become a basic cooking ingredients in every dishes, and is widely used in food indsutries as well as medical purposes. The skin of garlic has to be peeled off before consumption. However, most people encountered problem as such difficulty to remove garlic skin, where by hand will cause irritation and smells. Worse as it comes to large quantity of garlic which is time consuming and might be detrimental to human health or skin. Garlic peeling machine was built to overcome this issue. The principle of this garlic peeling machine is by the air pressure of the air compressor. The air flow in the machine blow the garlic to hit the wall to allow the garlic skin to peel off. By utilising this machine, user can now on no need to peel off the skin manually. The benefits of using this machine is save time and energy, as well as productivity increase. The project is started by researching any possible problem arise on the project so that the objectives is clear to carry on the fabrication of the machine. The following stage is to design planning and dimension of the machine and it should be lead to the material selection process. After gather all the requirement, the machine can be build and testing. The testing results will be recorded for discussion. Assumption for air pressure supply, input capacity and efficiency of the machine are determined. Although the machine was successfully fabricated, component within the machine is still able to have further improvement to handle different requirement aspect in the coming future.
