Abstract

In this research, the Asset Administrative Shell (AAS) system integration approach in the context of RAMI 4.0 has been proposed for the integration between workstations of OMIS Mixed Juice Manufacturing Line. The RAMI 4.0 layer that is involved in the integration of this research is the asset layer, integration layer, communication layer and information layer. To address the problem associated with the exchange of engineering data, engineering tools such as Standard for the Exchange of Product Model data, also known as STEP and Automation Markup Language (AutomationML) is developed. AutomationML technology is proposed to be used in this project as it can be used to build the AAS for the integration of the manufacturing line and its ability to perform exchange of engineering data seamlessly. Communication layer will be realized with the OPCUA communication standard and it is the recommended communication standard for the RAMI 4.0 communication layer. The asset layer is made up of the simulation PLC in the research while the information layer means the product order information and workstation internal setting. All the data in the information layer are variables that are defined in the PLC of the workstation in the OMIS Mixed Juice Manufacturing Line. The end result of the project shows that the AAS model built with the AutomationML editor is able to vertically integrate the manufacturing. The internal workstation settings can also be modified through the AAS model.
