Abstract
The global energy crisis has emerged as a prominent issue in today’s world. The depletion of non-renewable energy is becoming more evident, driving the adoption of renewable energy, especially solar energy. Instead of fixed solar panels, the sun tracking system is encouraged to be utilized for the absorption of solar energy due to better efficiency. This project design and fabricate a sun-tracking system for solar panels that optimizes the absorption of solar energy from the sun. After a thorough comparison among many types of sun tracking systems, it is decided that the design and fabrication of the sun tracking system is based on the single-axis solar tracking system. After construction of the prototype, the single-axis solar tracking system is found to be more efficient than the fixed solar panel, with the average efficiency increment between the range of 16.96% to 21.79%.
