Abstract

In this report, the research is about the design of the improvised disc brake. The objective of this project is to fabricate a bicycle disc brake to improve the heat dissipation from the design of disc brake using a CNC machine. The second objective is to evaluate the dissipation of heat with different conditions such as the bicycle disc brake continuously cycled for an hour. The improvised disc brake are focused on the material selection, number, area of the holes, and the dimension of the disc brake in order to dissipate heat faster. The improvised disc brake design was to maintain or improve the performance of braking. The experiment measurements and the thermal analysis of the software was carried out in this project to show the efficient dissipation of heat. After the prototype was being produced, the disc brake was tested.
