Abstract
Self-Tuning Fuzzy Proportional Integral-Proportional Derivative (STFPI-PD) controller is a new controller which is able to supersede the current PID controller with the capability to perform better in a complicated scenario. In this paper, stability analysis will be carried out to analyse STFPI-PD controller. The block diagram of the mentioned controller is constructed in MATLAB Simulink and further analysed using the function of Linear Analysis Tool. Different types of inputs will be used to identify if STFPI-PD controller is able to retain its stability under the influence of various inputs. Through this paper, the proper methodology to investigate the stability of STFPI-PD controller is formed and the controller is able to maintain its stability from all types of inputs. The stability of the controller is identified based on the stability criterion of Bode Plot and Pole-Zero Plot. Stability of a controller is able to affect the output generated by the controller. Therefore, the contribution of this paper is to prove the stability of STFPI-PD controller. With the proof of being stable, the controller can be confirmed to be functioning and safe to be commercialized.
