Abstract
The Coconut Scraping Machine has been successfully designed, fabricated and tested to improve the efficiency, safety, and user-friendliness of the traditional manual coconut scraping process. The machine is divided into three main parts that are scraping part for removing coconut flesh, a clamp to securely hold coconuts, and a protective main body that to hold both components and as a safety cover. The automated scraping mechanism significantly reduces operating time and increases productivity compared to manual methods. The test results show that the motor lacks the power to rotate the coconut effectively when the scraper is attached to the coconut meat. However, the function of the scraper and the motor to move the coconut can be worked on individually. So, a more powerful motor is needed in future iterations to achieve the desired performance and productivity.
