Abstract

The project was inspired by the problem from a factory that currently facing issue of space and labour constrains. The project is aimed to resolve this problem by creating and implementing an Automated Guided Vehicle with automated loading system. A literature review on several concepts of parts and components, studies on patent and product available in the market has been done. The design. Fabrication and integration of AGV is completed and tested. The main structure of AGV can be broken down into vehicle base and unloading unit. The capability and performance of line following mechanism and unloading mechanism was tested, where AGV is proven able to self-driven by following line, the unloading mechanism is able to function as expected. One full charge of battery cycle able to run for 1 hour based on test conducted. The main contribution of this AGV is aimed to design, fabricate and supply high technology and high efficiency solution to the industry, especially to local small-medium-industries (SMI) with low investment price and affordable maintenance cost, indirectly attempt to improve country’s economy by increase productivity of these companies.
