Abstract

Road visibility for passenger is always a major concern for the safety design engineers. Bad weather would affect ones driving experience, for instance the driver will exhausted faster due to long time focusing on the road. It could be challenging task for driver when large amount of rain collected on the front windscreen obscuring the vision. In this proposal, the compressed air utilized as a working fluid to aid the wiper mechanism to wipe off raindrops during stormy day. Compressed air has provided countless benefits over the centuries and has increased capabilities in automation. Tasks can be completed with more economical alternatives for a high-performing compressed air system. The compressed air will impinge to the front windscreen assist by nozzles. The various combinations of nozzle design, air velocity and impinging angle are studied for acquiring maximum clearing area and vision for longer distance. The impinging angle can only be verified by carrying out experiment with different angles.
