Abstract

This study presents the design and development of a solar-powered clothes drying rack equipped with a rotating mechanism aimed at enhancing drying efficiency and prevent uneven dry through uniform exposure to sunlight and airflow. The system integrates a solar panel that harnesses solar energy to power a DC gear motor, which, through a gear system, facilitates the rotation of the drying rack. The rotation ensures even drying of clothes by maximizing exposure to environmental conditions. The design emphasizes simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, making it suitable for outdoor, off-grid, or rural applications. While the system offers significant benefits in terms of energy efficiency and reduced manual labor, limitations include dependency on weather conditions and potential maintenance requirements due to exposure to outdoor elements. Overall, the proposed design contributes to sustainable living by utilizing renewable energy sources to automate and improve the clothes drying process
