Abstract

This dissertation investigates passive cooling strategies to address the critical thermal management challenges in data centers, where high-density of server racks generates significant heat and leads to energy-intensive cooling requirements. Conventional Underfloor Air Distribution (UFAD) systems often suffer from non-uniform airflow and the formation of thermal hotspots, which increase server fan power consumption and reduce equipment reliability. To resolve these issues, this study employs Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations using ANSYS Fluent and the SST
