Abstract

Exoskeleton is not only referring to animal and insects shell but also known as Exosuits. Bionicsuits and robotic exoskeletons is rapidly emerging as a technology not only to improve people’s work but to change lives with the applications split across healthcare, heavy industry and the military. The objective of the study is to determine the ways to reinforce the strength of a person to perform works. In this project, Semi-powered Knee Exoskeleton is an electromechanical device that designed to help people who have difficulty in climbing stairs and walking for a long period of time. In this project, the fabrication of semi-powered knee exoskeleton has been carried out by using knowledge applied from different field of subjects. The whole detail process has presented from the beginning of literature review to the fabrication process. The advancement of technology is an undeniable factor that happen in our daily life. In mostly all the field like medical field or industries field, technology is needed in which help us to live in a better and comfortable life. But some of the technologies are yet to be created to solve human problem. Hence, modifying and re-enhancing a product is a need so the performance can be improved. In this project, a complete study has been done based on the existing technology on the exoskeleton and testing of the prototype shows the optimum solution to the fabrication of the prototype. The analysis and findings may also help to improve the design for the future references. As compared to the commercialized exoskeletons available in the market, the new exoskeleton is lighter, smaller and affordable.
